How much is that gadget really costing you?

Who doesn't love getting a new phone, iPad, video game or other big-ticket gadget.  I know I do.  But do you know the real cost of those things we can't live without?

In an article by the Wall Street Journal, the real cost of ownership of some of our favorite things were calculated, and the amounts are shocking.

Get this, in looking at a smartphone package they calculated:

"Total cost: Up to $3,400 over two years."
