8 Things Christmas Movies Can Teach Us

What christmas movies can teach us about our finances

As you can probably tell, Christmas and the entire holiday season are some of our favorite times of the year here at YourCreditAttorney.  There are so many traditions that we love and people to share them with. One of our favorite traditions is watching our favorite holiday movies.

But watching movies, especially christmas movies, can have some deeper meanings than just the good feeling warm and fuzzies.  They can actually teach us some very important lessons regarding our finances and how to improve them.

It seems, we’re not the only ones who think this way. Dave Ramsey thinks so as well, and he put together his list of the top quotes from memorable holiday movies that have a meaning.

  1. Buddy the Elf, Elf - “Smiling is my favorite.”
  2. Cousin Eddie, Christmas Vacation“Oh, that there’s an RV. Yeah, yeah, I borrowed it off a buddy of mine. He took my house, I took the RV. It’s a good-looking vehicle, ain’t it?”
  3. Clarence, It’s A Wonderful Life – “Remember, George: No man is a failure who has friends.”
  4. Ralphie, A Christmas Story – “I want an official Red Ryder carbine-action, two-hundred-shot, range-model air rifle!”
  5. The Grinch, How The Grinch Stole Christmas – “Blast this Christmas music. It’s joyful and triumphant.”
  6. Santa Claus, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer – “Rudolph, with your nose so bright, won’t you guide my sleigh tonight?”
  7. Bob Wallace, White Christmas“May your days be merry and bright, and may all your Christmases be white.”
  8. Mr. Potter, It’s a Wonderful Life – “George, I’m an old man and most people hate me, but I don’t like them either so that makes it all even.”
